Construction Project Manager – Retail Banking Remodels
We’re seeking an accomplished Construction Project Manager with specialized expertise in retail banking remodels and branch transformation projects. This role requires a sharp project leader who understands the unique requirements of the financial sector—balancing security standards, regulatory compliance, and brand consistency—while delivering high-quality construction outcomes across multiple U.S. markets.

As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee remodels that directly impact client experience, compliance, and business operations. Core Responsibilities
- Act as the client’s representative, managing all aspects of bank remodel projects, ensuring adherence to strict security, regulatory, and operational standards unique to the financial services industry.
- Oversee project lifecycle including pre-construction (bidding, permitting, scheduling), construction execution (change orders, invoicing, punch lists), banking equipment coordination (vaults, ATMs, IT/security systems), and turnover.
- Navigate regulatory requirements and integrate with bank security, IT, and facilities teams to minimize disruption to operations during remodels.
- Direct and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and specialty vendors experienced in financial institution environments.
- Lead concurrent remodel projects across multiple states, maintaining exceptional organization, client communication, and brand consistency.
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with clear financial reporting.
- Review and interpret detailed construction documents, with an eye toward compliance, risk management, and operational continuity.
- Leverage web-based project management platforms for tracking, reporting, and multi-site coordination.
- Must be able to travel to by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (90% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 5+ years of retail project management experience with degree; 15+ years required without degree.
- Proven track record in banking and financial institution remodels is required.
- Experience managing projects involving vaults, security systems, ATMs, teller lines, and other banking infrastructure.
- Strong financial acumen—budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- PMP or LEED certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel 80% nationwide, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to manage travel expenses.
- Remote work capability when not on-site.
- Must live near or be willing to relocate to a major U.S. metro with airport access.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000
Annual Incentive Bonus Plan
Base Pay is adjusted based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
