We are seeking the immediate hire of a Project Inspector for our operations in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Area Inspection Manager.
Essential Job Duties:

- Conduct thorough inspection services and document the replacement and installation of routine and complex point repairs of small and large diameter city water mains and services, water valves, fire hydrants, including but not limited to, storm drains and wastewater mains. Ensure quality control and compliance with approved details and specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records by documenting all inspections and repairs performed. Ensure that all restorations meet or exceed current specifications.
- Manage and report inspection data using INFOR software. Keep records and databases current with inspection information.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Identify and report any deviations from approved standards and specifications.
- Work closely with contractors, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality standards. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve processes and work quality.
- Prepare and present detailed inspection reports to supervisors and managers. Participate in meetings to discuss inspection results and action plans.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
- Experience in inspecting water and sewer systems is highly desirable.
- ICC (International Code Council) certifications related to water systems, plumbing, and construction inspection are required.
- Additional State of Texas certifications or licenses may be required depending on the specific duties and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in INFOR or other inspection management systems.
- Familiarity with local and state construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and travel within the service area as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Successful candidates will be based mostly in the field at client sites where they will have full exposure to the elements on projects controlled by OSHA.

Remaining time will be spent working out of a home office with occasional team meetings and training in-office as necessary.
