About the role
Within our department, our team of around 60 colleagues are involved in researching and evaluating designs of ships and offshore installations against Dutch, European and international rules and regulations with regards to maritime safety and environment. Our document processing, inspections, and verifications stand as critical safeguards protecting human lives, maritime assets, and our global environment. Our administrative tasks directly contribute to risk management and safety standards across the maritime industry.
We are expanding our team with a Document Controller to support our ship construction and equipment projects by coordinating documentation workflows. You’ll support our engineering teams and ensure smooth project communication within our organization and with clients. This position balances planned documentation processes with flexible, real-time problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and streamline digital document workflows for shipbuilding projects, such as (re)construction inspections and equipment verification;
- Coordinate with staff and clients to ensure that the work is completed on schedule;
- Maintain records in line with organizational policies and industry standards, ensuring regulatory compliance;
- Support engineering teams with administrative tasks.

We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements, with options to work 3 days from our Rotterdam office and 2 days from home on a full-time basis, or 2 days in-office and 2 days remote on a 32-hour working week.
