Position Summary:
The Document Coordinator II is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of lab documents and shipping for reagents and samples, reporting data, and writing technical reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs sample and reagent order fulfillment
• Responsible for preparation of specimens and reagents for shipping and storage (e.g., printing labels, QC of specimen tubes, aliquot specimens, prepare racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens etc
• Gather data from analysts and vendors to prepare technical reports technical reports in an accurate manner.
• Learn and update data systems according to protocols
• Complete work processes within designated deadlines
• Performs all tasks and procedures in a team environment with daily supervision
• Clean, organize and maintain work area, e.g., refrigerator and freezers as needed).
• Participate in the laboratory inventory program that provides adequate inventories of reagents, samples, and supplies.
• Assure the accuracy of tasks by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control SOPs.
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Conduct verbal and written communications with internal and external contacts under N+1 advisement
• Maintain multiple communications streams with internal and external partners (CRO) including portals, SharePoint sites, and MS Outlook email.
• Maintain confidential information.
• Documentation – Generate, QC and maintain documents ensuring all information is accurate, up to date and complies with Good Documentation Practices to meet regulatory guidelines and audit readiness
• Responsible for transferring data from external and internal vendor portals to multiple locations for the client.
• Comply with all safety guidelines.
• Assist in administrative aspects of various departmental projects as directed.
• Participate with senior staff in client meetings / visits, when appropriate.
• Consult with other technicians / engineers on various issues, seeking direction as needed.
• Update lab procedures with direction from senior staff
• Identify improvements in the areas of testing quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Functions include but are not limited to data upload, document QC, manifest formatting, shipment receipt, inventory, QC, storage, transfer and re-receipt, compound ordering. Customer service, managing client requests/orders within TAT, tracking emails and workflow, developing processes, and implementing new automated software for sample management.
• Collaborative with the Specimen management coordinator team on receiving, QC, shipping, disposals, registering, tracking, storing, labeling and routing samples and reagents upon client request.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support. Learns new processes and provides issues resolution.
• Works seamlessly with other tasks.
• Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple work and communications lines between external vendors and internal clients.
• Be a collaborative team member to share knowledge and support cross functional areas
• Perform other essential tasks, projects and responsibilities as required.
• Assist with any special projects as needed
• Assist with report writing by consolidating data and filling data into protocols
• Strong technical aptitude and/or broad technical knowledge in various areas

Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in closely related field
- Minimum of 6-months of experience with Specimen management, or project management
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation Range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
