Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

 

Position Summary:

The Lab Support Technician I is responsible for accurate and timely storing, tracking and transfer of samples, as well as coordinating non clinical study logistics and data management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for receiving, verifying, tracking, storing, transferring and shipping specimens for clinical and   nonclinical studies

• Performs sample order fulfillment utilizing various departmental systems and applications

• Preparing and maintaining electronic notebooks for study data entry

• Creating study frameworks within Watson LIMS and uploading data as needed

• Generating and managing study timelines

• Maintaining reagent and animal tissue inventory for general use

• Managing shared email inbox for client questions and requests

• Complete work processes within designated deadlines

• Performs all tasks and procedures in a team environment with daily supervision

• Clean, organize and maintain work area (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, and supply cabinets, as needed).

• Communicate effectively with team members

• Complies with all safety guidelines.

• Assist in administrative aspects of various departmental projects as directed.

• Conduct verbal and written communications with internal and external contacts under N+1 advisement

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent and some related work experience

 

Compensation Range: $20.00-$23.00 per hour  (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
