Jr. Engineer - Risk & Safety

Title:    Junior Risk & Safety Engineer
Location:    Islamabad 

Role Purpose Statement: 
-    The job incumbent is responsible for processing of documents as per the different program/ process requirements. 
-    The incumbent will have to work as per the required time zone to support the TC-MER. 
-    He / She performs the job within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, BV HSE Requirements, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES    

General Responsibilities & Accountabilities  
-    Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of safety & risk engineering.
-    Experience in various phases of project life cycle; feasibility/concept studies, FEED, Detail Engineering/EPC, Operation.
-    Expertise in: QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, Safety Case/COMAH.
-    Experience in performing 3D F&G Mapping, Flare Radiation/Dispersion Modeling, Bow-tie analysis, Dropped Object Studies will be considered as plus point. 
-    Scribing of safety workshop such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualification and Experience
-    Education: Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, reputable university 
-    Experience: 2-5 years’ experience in Technical Safety Consultancy Services in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Sector 
-    Setup: Candidate will work as part of the Risk & Safety Team based in Islamabad; he/she shall be reporting directly to Senior Team Leader.

Knowledge and Skills:
-    Must have as minimum working experience in PHAST/SAFETI software, PHA Pro software. 
-    Knowledge with Detect3D (of equivalent F&G Mapping software) and FLARESIM software will be considered as plus point. 
-    Good English and local language skills is desirable
