The role:

The person will ensure seamless operation of Mobile Laboratory by coordinating and supporting the delivery of laboratory services, including testing and certification, in accordance with the Business Unit's targets and objectives, as well as BV's code of ethics, procedures, and policies.

 

The key responsibilities of the right candidate will include:

  • Provide Laboratory technical services
  • Plan visits to client service stations using a planning / reporting tool MAIA designed by Company
  • Provide on-site real-time reporting tools (EX tablet, Maia web portal, secure access)
  • Carry out Sampling from client service stations, detection, and measurement of free water in the bottom of service station tanks using water finding paste.
  • Carry out tests - Density measurement of AGO and PMS samples using an electronic portable densitometer or thermometer and hydrometers (supplied by client)
  • Periodic verification of client density measurement instruments using UKAS 17025 certified thermometer and hydrometers
  • Control of tanker truck off-loading procedures and verification of the working thermometer and hydrometers used by service stations prior off-loading
  • Control of sensitive components of retail stations regarding fuel quality including unloading area, tank manholes based on a checklist agreed with client.
  • Control of HSE aspects of service stations based on a checklist provided by client
  • Online posting of inspection reports on an online platform accessible by client using secure access

 

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Energy Engineering/Chemistry and preferably engineering.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001 management system
  • Basic understanding of ISO 17025 and 17020 system requirements
  • 2 years total work experience in a technical laboratory services.
  • Proficient in use of word, excel, power point, AutoCAD/ArchiCAD, Ms project computer skills
