Electrical Inspector for LV & MV

Job Description

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering and IEC certified or have comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years in Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Shall have thorough knowledge of IEC standards applicable to LV and MV electrical systems including IEC 60364, IEC 60947, and relevant local and international electrical codes.
• Capable of inspecting and verifying LV and MV switchboards, distribution panels, and associated electrical equipment against approved drawings and specifications.
• Shall witness and verify installation, testing, and commissioning of LV and MV electrical systems including cable terminations, bus bar connections, and protective relays.
• Capable of verifying insulation resistance testing, high potential testing, and continuity testing of LV and MV cables and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in protection relay settings, coordination studies, and verification of protective device settings.
• Capable of verifying compliance with hazardous area classification requirements and equipment Ex-certification for LV and MV installations.
• Shall witness functional testing of LV and MV systems including interlock testing and emergency shutdown testing.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

• B.E Electrical Engineering with IEC knowledge
• Minimum 10 years of LV/MV inspection experience
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards and testing
• Experience in commissioning and protection systems
• Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
• Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
