Electrical Inspector for Switchgear & MCC
Job Description
- B.E. in Electrical Engineering and IEC certified or have comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years in switchgear and Motor Control Centre (MCC) inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
- Shall have thorough knowledge of IEC standards applicable to switchgear and MCC equipment including IEC 62271, IEC 60439, and IEC 61439.
- Capable of inspecting and verifying factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) of switchgear and MCC assemblies.
- Can witness and verify installation, alignment, and commissioning of LV and MV switchgear panels and MCC assemblies.
- Knowledgeable in motor starter types including direct online (DOL), star-delta, soft starter, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Shall witness functional testing of motor feeders, interlocks, control wiring verification, and emergency stop functions.
- Capable of verifying Arc Flash labelling, IP ratings, and compliance with area classification requirements.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of switchgear/MCC inspection experience
- Knowledge of IEC standards and FAT/SAT processes
- Experience with motor control systems
- Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
- Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
