Job Title: Field Inspector - O&P

Job Location: Karachi 

Role Statement:

• Responsible for planning and organizing inspection related activities, preparation of quotations, keeping track on market trend and handling customer complaints.
• The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Responsibilities:

• Verify cargo quantity, quality, and condition.
• Conduct visual inspections of cargo, tanks, and equipment.
• Check documentation (e.g., certificates of origin, quality certificates).
• Monitor loading/unloading operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Collect and analyze cargo samples.
• Ensure compliance with international safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and report potential hazards.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports along with complete documents.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Verify shore tank calibration and accuracy.
• Measure cargo quantities using approved methods (e.g., API, ASTM).
• Verify cargo weights and volumes against documentation.
• Respects security and safety guidelines of BV and safeguard personal safety & security in the working environment.
• Quality of Work & Reporting – No complaints.
• Any other job responsibilities as assigned by the N+1.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
The following competencies are required;

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Chemistry/Geology/Diploma holder in IFIA.
• Both fresh graduates and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
• Probation period: 06 months
• Good communication and presentation skills.
