Fired Heaters and Furnace Inspectors

Job Description:

  • API 560 or ASME Section I certified or have comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years in furnace inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
    Shall have thorough knowledge of API 573, ASME Section I, and related codes applicable to fired heaters and furnaces.
  • Capable of performing internal and external inspection of fired heaters including radiant and convection sections, burners, stacks, and associated components.
  • Shall inspect refractory linings of furnaces, stacks, and fireboxes and assess their condition for replacement or repair.
  • Shall inspect furnace tubes for external corrosion, erosion, hot spots, bulging, and sagging, and coordinate with NDE examiners for tube thickness measurement.
  • Capable of witnessing burner inspections, fuel gas train inspections, and associated safety interlocks.
  • Shall review and interpret fired heater drawings, tube layouts, and refractory detail drawings.
  • Shall administer or witness DPT and MPT on furnace tube welds and fittings.
  • Capable of witnessing hydrostatic testing of furnace tube circuits and documenting results.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

  • API 560 or ASME Section I certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Minimum 10 years of furnace/heater inspection experience
  • Strong knowledge of API 573 and heater/furnace systems
  • Experience in refractory, tubes, burners, and inspection activities
  • Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
  • Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
