Instrumentation Cable Inspector

Job Description

• B.E in Instrument/Electrical/Electronics and certified or have comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years in field cables installation inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Knowledge of Cable laying standards (tray, trench, conduit), Instrument cable segregation rules, Earthing and shielding practices.
• Understanding of Megger test, IR test, continuity test, Ex-proof cable glands and sealing.
• Inspect cable laying, routing, and installation as per approved drawings.
• Verify correct cable type, size, identification, and tagging.
• Inspect cable glanding and termination in junction boxes and control panels.
• Witness megger, IR, and continuity testing.
• Review cable test records and related QA/QC documentation.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

• B.E relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of cable inspection experience
• Strong knowledge of cabling and testing
• Experience in IR, megger, continuity testing
• Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
• Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
