Job Title: Junior Chemist- MMT Lab
Job Location: Karachi-Korangi 

Role Statement: 
➢ The job incumbent is responsible for the performance of Metals and Minerals testing for Quality inspections of Mineral in International Trade of Commodities, to ascertain conformity with reference to requirements of standards, specifications, regulations etc. pertinent to individuals, commodity and product. Independently and with minimum supervision. He performs the job in the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group Policies. 
➢ Junior Chemist strive to run their laboratory safely and efficiently. He takes responsibility for all aspects of the labs where he works, including equipment, supplies, software, and documentation. 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities 
 Responsibilities would be as follows: 
➢ To ensure compliance and respect of all BV policies and procedures including implementation of all technical and procedural matters as per BV quality system.
➢ Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records.
➢ Able and willing to maintain a strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records.
➢ Prepare samples for testing using various types of equipment.
➢ Ensures clients’ needs and requirements in terms of TAT and true/actual results.
➢ Respects security and safety guidelines of BV and safeguard personal safety & security in the working environment.
➢ To ensure clean and maintain work area and all lab equipment and supplies.
➢ Quality of Work & Reporting – No complaints. 
➢ Preparing analysis work and sheets and other relevant information. 
➢ He keeps himself updated with BV procedures, national and international standards of testing regulations and publications particularly related to MMT. 
➢ Respects security and safety guidelines of BV and safeguard personal safety & security in the working environment.
➢ Performing accurate analysis, isolating, defining, and concentrating of various samples from different sources.
➢ Any other job responsibilities as assigned by the N+1. 

KPIs (to be amended if necessary) 

➢ Customer satisfaction. Ensure complaint ratio under 2% 
➢ Minimize Average Process time in analysis reports. 
➢ Quality of Work & Reporting – No complaints.
➢ Accomplish analysis and reporting well within allocated time frame of 2-3 working Days.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: 
➢ Postgraduate (master's degree) / Minimum 16 years of Schooling with relevant knowledge and Experience of Laboratory. 
➢ Validate testing approved by departmental administrative work, technical procedures.
➢ Ability to effectively communicate with Client, sub-contractors & colleagues.
➢ Good knowledge about the inspection and chemical testing of ores.
➢ Computer Skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office & Window’s applications and usage.
