Title:  Lifting Engineer/Inspector 
Reporting to (Title) :  Deputy Manager Operations  

 

Role Purpose Statement: 

  • Responsibilities for quality inspection equipment, products, & safety inspections to determine their conformity with reference standards, specifications, & regulations.
  • Role Statement The job incumbent is responsible for Lifting Engineer/Inspector, He performs the job in the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group policies.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan the job with the operations manager after the award of the PO. 
  • Complete the job as per scope of work.
  • Nominate and monitor the lifting team for the site and during site execution. 
  • Perform inspections of all kinds of lifting equipment.
  • Perform riggers, scaffolders, crane operators, and DDC trainings.
  • Ensure that report is submitted as per the deadline given by the client.
  • Review of Inspection reports/certificates    
  • Report preparation according to relevant code. 
  • Coordinate with clients before and after starting execution. 
  • Comply with HSE requirements of BV and site for self and team. 
  • Daily progress as per client requirement. 
  • Ensure completion of necessary documentation for smooth invoicing.
  • Should possess marketing skills.

 

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HNC.
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years in the same field.
  • Professional Qualification: LEEA II, NDT level II (MT and DPT).


KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Good organizer and record-keeping.
  • Discipline and strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Basic use of computers and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent English and local language skills are desirable.
