2.          Minimum Required Qualifications

2.1.      Specialty          ASNT/PCN/ISO NDT Level-II Certifications in UT,DPT,MPI, RT

ANDT Certification / Competency

Valid certification or demonstrated competency in relevant ANDT techniques.

Tubing Inspection and LRUT/GWUT certification and hands-on experience will be preferred.

PAUT, TOFD and MFL qualifications will be considered an additional advantage

2.2.      Education        DAE / Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or a related technical discipline.

2.5.      Experience     

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant industrial NDT/inspection experience.
• Hands-on experience in NDT and ANDT inspection activities.
• Experience in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, process piping, pressure vessels and other industrial equipment will be an advantage.
• Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, power, fabrication, offshore/onshore or other heavy industrial sectors is preferred.
• Shutdown/turnaround experience will be an advantage.

3.          Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities

3.1.      Primary Functions     

• Perform conventional NDT examinations including:
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI)
• Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/DPT)
• Visual Testing (VT)
• Perform/Assist in ANDT examinations based on qualification and project requirements.
• Perform/Assist in tubing inspection of heat exchangers, boilers, condensers and other tubular equipment (ECT/IRIS/RFT).
• Perform/Assist LRUT/GWUT examinations of piping and suitable components.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain NDT/ANDT equipment and accessories.
• Analyze and interpret NDT/ANDT examination data and evaluate indications in accordance with applicable standards and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare accurate, complete and traceable inspection reports.
• Review examination data, calibration records and inspection documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, piping isometrics and equipment drawings.
• Support inspection activities during fabrication, construction, maintenance and shutdown/turnaround projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, QA/QC personnel and BV project teams.
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspection results.
• Identify equipment or technical issues and take appropriate corrective action.

3.2.      Technical Expertise

• Hands-on capability in NDT/ANDT techniques.

• Good technical report-writing and documentation skills.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary inspection team.
• Ability to work effectively during shutdowns and under project deadlines.
• Good computer/MS Office skills.
• Strong HSE awareness and safety discipline.
• Willingness to travel to client/project locations throughout Pakistan and  internationally when required.

3.3.      Business Requirements       

• Complete inspection assignments within agreed scope, schedule, quality and commercial requirements.

• Maintain complete and timely inspection documentation and records.

• Communicate additional inspection requirements, technical observations and potential scope changes through the appropriate management/client channels.

• Support client retention and business development through professional service delivery while maintaining technical independence and impartiality.

3.4.      Self Management      

• Plan daily inspection activities and manage priorities effectively.

• Maintain valid NDT certifications, competence records and required training.

• Keep current with applicable codes, standards, procedures and technical developments.

• Maintain professional independence, confidentiality and ethical conduct.

• Promptly escalate technical uncertainties, safety concerns, non-conformities and critical findings.

3.5.      Customer Focus        

• Understand and confirm client inspection scope and requirements before execution.

• Communicate inspection findings clearly, objectively and professionally.

• Provide evidence-based inspection results and timely technical reports.

• Coordinate inspection activities with client representatives to minimize disruption to plant operations.

• Respond professionally to client technical queries within the approved scope of responsibility.

3.6.      HSE Requirements   

• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
• Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
• Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
• Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.

4.          Performance Monitoring

4.1.      Continual Development       

Maintain and improve NDT/ANDT inspections competency through relevant training, certification renewal, code/standard updates, technical learning, field experience, lessons learned and participation in internal/external technical development activities.

4.2.      KPI’s   

• Inspection assignments completed within agreed schedule.

• Accuracy, completeness and timely submission of inspection reports.

• Compliance with applicable ASME/API/ISO standards, procedures, quality and HSE requirements.

• Client feedback and response time to technical queries.

• Validity of required NDT certifications and continual competency development.

• Timely identification, documentation and escalation of critical inspection findings.
