Minimum Required Qualifications

IEC / IEEE / NETA standards, Hands on experience in Primary Assets Testing, Hands on Experience in ATEX (IEC Ex).

Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities

1. 1. Primary Functions

• Lead and manage execution of electrical testing and inspection projects across P&U sector
• Ensure project delivery within timelines, budget, and quality requirements
• Review and approve testing procedures, method statements, and reports
• Interface with clients for technical discussions and project coordination

1. 2. Technical Expertise

Perform and supervise:

• Transformer testing (TTR, WR, SFRA, IR, C&DF)
• MV/LV motor & generator testing (IR, WR, PD, MCSA, MCA)
• Protection relay testing and commissioning
• Circuit breaker testing (timing, contact resistance, functional checks)
• Cable testing (VLF, PD diagnostics)

Conduct advanced diagnostics:

• Partial discharge monitoring, VLF , DRA measurements
• Condition monitoring and failure analysis

Utilize testing equipment such as Omicron (CPC100, CMC356, MPD600), Megger, Fluke, etc.

Support business development through:

• Technical proposals and solution design
• Client engagement and presentations
• Identify opportunities for new service lines (e.g., MCA/MSCA, PD monitoring, ATEX inspections)
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower and equipment

• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and decision-making
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain high level of documentation and reporting accuracy
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians

• Ensure responsiveness to client requirements and site conditions

1. 6. HSE Requirements

• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
• Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
• Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
• Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
