Rotating Equipment Inspector

Job Description:

• API 610, API 674, and API 618 or API 617 certified under or having comprehensive knowledge and experience of 10 years of experience in rotating equipment inspection at refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Capable of witnessing and verifying all stages of inspection for centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, centrifugal compressors, and reciprocating compressors, including dimensional checks, material verification, surface finish inspection, and component condition assessment across all equipment types.
• Shall witness hydrostatic, performance, mechanical run, and NPSH testing for all pump and compressor categories and interpret test results against design specifications, data sheets, and applicable API standards.
• Shall witness mechanical seal assemblies, bearing housing inspections, coupling alignments, valve assemblies, piston rod inspections, packing and seal inspections, crankshaft/bearing condition assessments, impeller inspections, and rotor dynamic assessments as applicable to each equipment type.
• Knowledgeable in vibration analysis, alignment procedures, balancing requirements, rotor dynamics, pulsation analysis, surge control requirements, dampener inspection, and relief valve setting verification applicable to both pumps and compressors.
• Capable of reviewing and verifying equipment data sheets, material test reports (MTRs), manufacturer inspection records, and lube/seal oil system documentation for all rotating equipment categories covered under this Contract.
• Shall review and approve Vendor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all pump and compressor categories prior to commencement of any inspection or testing activity.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

• API 610 / 674 / 617 / 618 certification or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of rotating equipment inspection experience
• Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, and associated systems
• Experience in performance testing, vibration analysis, and inspection processes
• Capability to review vendor documents, MTRs, and ITPs
• Relevant project experience of O&G (project construction, QA/QC & Commissioning) is mandatory
• Candidate must have valid certificates – copy shall be provided along with CV.
