HSE Trainer
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design, develop, and deliver engaging HSE training programs tailored to various employee levels and operational needs.
2. Assess training needs and create training materials, presentations, and manuals/participant assessments.
3. Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on HSE regulations, practices, and procedures considering KPC (oil sector) requirements.
4. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
5. Work closely with the Training Manager and other departments to align training programs with organizational goals.
6. To comply with all the QHSSE rules/regulations of BV as well as Client.
7. Provides input to the Training Strategy and the development of specific training development plans.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, OR if Diploma, minimum 5 to 6 years of Health & Safety experience preferably within the construction, heavy industrial or Infrastructure sector.
2. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in HSE training or related roles.
3. Proven track record in developing and delivering effective training programs.
CERTIFICATIONS:
1. Diploma in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
2. Train-the-trainer certification is must.
3. First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant industry-recognized certifications
DESIRED SKILLS
1. Strong Knowledge of HSE Standards & Regulations - local and international safety standards (e.g. OSHA, ISO, NEBOSH, IOSH).
2. Training & Presentation Skills.
3. Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication (English and Arabic).
4. Assessment & Evaluation - skills to assess trainee performance and adjust training based on feedback and outcomes.
AUTHORITIES
1. Authority for the Stop Work, if the situation is Unsafe.
2. Authority to approve training materials and content in line with compliance requirements.
