1.          Position Details

1.1.      Position: Lifting Equipment Inspector

1.2.      Office / Department: Lahore office/ IVS Department

1.3.      Reporting to: Omer Ishaq

1.4.      Key Working Relationship: Operations Manager, Technical Manager, Lifting Equipment Inspection Team, Clients and Client Representatives, Sales Team, HSE Department, Quality Department, and relevant subcontractors’/service providers.

 

2.          Minimum Required Qualifications

2.1.      Specialty          LEEA certified (minimum 02 Levels)

2.2.      Education        Engineer/ DAE

2.3.      Training             HSE training

2.4.      Technical knowledge Must be aware of local and international LEEA standards and regulations

2.5.      Experience      2 Years Plus minimum

 

3.         Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities

3.1.      Primary Functions      To carry out lifting equipment inspection

3.2.      Technical Expertise  

•   Perform inspection and certification of lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and lifting appliances in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

•   Conduct visual inspections, dimensional checks, load test witnessing, and NDT coordination where required.

•   Ensure inspection activities comply with API, ASME, LEEA, LOLER, and client-specific requirements.

•   Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain proper inspection records.

3.3.      Business Requirements        To clear the backlog/ pending execution of lifting equipment inspections

3.4.      Self Management      

•   Maintain professional competency and adhere to company policies and procedures.

•   Ensure timely completion of assigned inspection activities and reporting.

•   Effectively manage work schedules, priorities, and field assignments.

•   Participate in training programs and continuous professional development initiatives.

•   Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, quality, and integrity standards.

3.5.      Customer Focus        

•   Provide timely and professional inspection services to clients.

•   Maintain effective communication with customers regarding inspection schedules, findings, and recommendations.

•   Respond promptly to client requirements and support operational needs.

•   Ensure high-quality service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction and confidence.

•   Build and maintain positive client relationships through professionalism and technical excellence.

3.6.      HSE Requirements   

  • Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures and practices.
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
  • Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
  • Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
  • Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
  • Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.

 

4.          Performance Monitoring

4.1.      Continual Development       

•   Participate in internal and external training programs related to lifting equipment inspection and certification.

•   Maintain and enhance technical competency in accordance with LEEA, API, and company requirements.

•   Stay updated with applicable industry standards, inspection techniques, and client requirements.

•   Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring within the inspection team.

•   Pursue continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational performance.

4.2.      KPI’s   

•   Completion of assigned lifting equipment inspections within agreed timelines.

•   Reduction of inspection backlog and pending jobs.

•   Timely submission of inspection reports and certificates.

•   Compliance with HSE, quality, and company procedures.

•   Achievement of inspection utilization and billable hours targets.

•   Zero major customer complaints related to inspection quality or reporting.

•   Effective support in meeting regional revenue and operational targets.

•   Successful completion of mandatory training and competency assessments.
