The B&I Projects Controller is a strategic financial role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance of the business unit's project portfolio. Reporting directly to the B&I Head, this position ensures financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance across all project phases.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis

    • Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
    • Conduct financial analysis and variance modeling
    • Provide strategic financial insights to management
  2. Financial Management

    • Establish financial controls and procedures
    • Monitor project financial performance
    • Manage project profit and loss (P&L)
    • Track and process purchase orders
  3. Cost Control and Optimization

    • Analyze project costs
    • Monitor cost trends
    • Review and recommend overtime pay
  4. Financial Reporting and Compliance

    • Prepare financial reports and dashboards
    • Identify and address financial compliance risks
    • Oversee billing attachments
    • Comply with Finance Department reporting requirements
  5. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Serve as a financial advisor
    • Participate in project meetings
    • Communicate project financial performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in financial management
  • Proficiency in project accounting and financial analysis
  • Prefer Industries/sector: infrastructure firms, construction firms, real estate firms, project management firms
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial management software
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
