Key Responsibilities:

• EHS Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assess workplace hazards and implement control measures to minimize risks.
• Training and Awareness: Organize and conduct regular safety training programs for employees to enhance safety awareness.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Waste Management: Oversee waste management and recycling programs to minimize environmental impact.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an EHS Officer in the energy sector, with a strong preference for experience in coal-fired or biomass power plants.
• In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management information systems.
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are advantageous.
