Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Receiving QC Inspector to join our team for an exciting Solar Energy Project. This position is responsible for ensuring that all materials and equipment received on-site for the project meet the specified quality standards and are in compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to efficiently handle materials inspection, documentation, and vendor coordination, all while ensuring safety and quality throughout the project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Material Inspection: Inspect all materials and equipment received at the site, ensuring they match the specifications provided in purchase orders and contractual agreements.
  • Quality Control: Perform thorough visual inspections for damages, defects, or discrepancies in materials such as solar panels, inverters, cables, wiring, and structural components.
  • Testing & Compliance: Conduct necessary tests or measurements to ensure that materials comply with industry standards (IEC, UL, etc.), project specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all materials received, including inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and vendor documentation. Report discrepancies or non-compliance to the project management and procurement teams.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve any issues related to defective or substandard materials, and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee proper handling, storage, and organization of materials on-site, ensuring that materials are kept in optimal conditions to prevent damage.
  • Safety Standards: Ensure that all materials comply with relevant safety standards, including those associated with electrical components and hazardous substances, and that proper safety measures are in place during receipt and storage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the procurement, project management, and engineering teams to ensure smooth coordination of material deliveries and on-time availability of materials.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in materials inspection, quality control, or a similar role in the construction or solar energy industry.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of industry standards and certifications (e.g., IEC, UL), as well as understanding of solar energy system components and materials.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify material defects, ensure compliance with technical specifications, and detect discrepancies during inspections.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively report findings and interact with suppliers, vendors, and team members.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials, work in varying weather conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Certifications: Certification in Quality Control or similar fields is an advantage.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • On-site at solar energy project locations.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging weather conditions.
  • Safety equipment and protocols must be followed at all times.
