Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects by developing and managing project schedules, progress tracking, and forensic delay analysis. The ideal candidate will be an expert in planning and scheduling tools, possess a strong background in high-rise building projects, and be proactive in identifying and mitigating project delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage an independent EPC project schedule, ensuring alignment with client milestones and requirements.
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Establish project WBS, define activities, and scope work to ensure clarity and efficiency in project execution.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and update project schedules weekly based on actual physical progress tracked daily on-site.
- Earned Value Analysis: Generate S-curves, histograms, and progress measurement reports to track planned vs. actual progress, cumulative performance, and forecasted project completion.
- Resource & Cost Management: Create and maintain a resource-loaded schedule (manpower, man-hours, cost, and quantities) for optimal project efficiency.
- Forensic Delay & Critical Path Analysis: Perform Forensic Schedule Delay Analysis, identify the Critical Path, and propose mitigation strategies to recover lost time.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present weekly Project Team Group (PTG) reports and submit comprehensive project reports to clients, proponents, and BV PMO.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: Licensed Civil Engineer or other relevant engineering discipline. Candidates with international experience are encouraged to apply.
- Industry Expertise: Solid experience as a Project Planner/Scheduler in high-rise building projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert in Primavera P6 (latest edition), MS Project, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
- Project Knowledge: Strong understanding of Design, Procurement, Construction, and Close-out processes, with expertise in multi-disciplinary scopes including MEPFS, Architectural, Civil, and Structural.
- Forensic Scheduling Expertise: Knowledgeable in Forensic Schedule Delay Analysis and Critical Path Methodology.
- Project Experience: Prior experience in high-rise condominiums, commercial buildings, malls, and infrastructure projects.
- PMC/PMT Role: Familiar with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Project Management Team (PMT) environments, including planning & scheduling methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive, results-driven mindset. Ability to work under pressure and in demanding site conditions.
- Work Location: Willing to be assigned to Metro Manila project sites.
