Job Summary
As the QHSE Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems across Bureau Veritas Philippines. You will ensure compliance with global standards, local regulations, and corporate objectives, while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the implementation and compliance of QHSE policies, objectives, and programs across all business units.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to internal and external QHSE standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Regional QHSE Manager and ensure timely dissemination of QHSE information.
- Lead internal audit programs and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
- Monitor and report QHSE performance metrics (KPIs) to regional and global offices.
- Design and deliver QHSE training programs, including induction for new hires.
- Coordinate with certification and accreditation bodies and manage external audit schedules.
- Maintain and update quality control manuals in line with accreditation requirements.
- Stay abreast of evolving HSE legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
- Support special QHSE-related projects as directed by senior leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Proven experience in managing Quality Systems and/or Health & Safety functions.
- Self-driven, hands-on professional with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Fluent in English; able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
