Overview: Join Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a prestigious hotel development project. This is a key role responsible for managing all cost and commercial aspects of the construction project from inception through completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting

    • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for all project phases
    • Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction period
    • Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities (BoQ)

  • Commercial Management

    • Manage contract negotiations and procurement processes
    • Handle variations, claims, and change orders
    • Prepare valuations and interim payment certificates
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations

  • Project Controls

    • Track expenditures against budget allocations
    • Identify cost variances and implement corrective measures
    • Produce regular financial reports and forecasts
    • Manage supplier and subcontractor payments

  • Stakeholder Liaison

    • Collaborate with project management, architects, and engineers
    • Communicate financial status to clients and stakeholders
    • Maintain professional relationships with contractors

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in quantity surveying, preferably on hospitality/hotel projects
  • Professional Credentials: RICS or equivalent professional membership preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in cost estimation software
    • Advanced MS Office skills
    • Knowledge of BIM and project management tools
