Job Description: Social Development Team Leader

 

Position Overview

 

We seek an experienced Social Development Team Leader to oversee community-based social development and gender equality initiatives, driving organizational impact in advancing inclusive development and social empowerment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and supervise the social development team with technical guidance and mentorship
  • Design and implement community-based social development and gender programs
  • Conduct gender analysis and social research to inform strategy
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop and facilitate capacity-building training on gender and social inclusion
  • Establish partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Prepare reports for donors and stakeholders
  • Advocate for gender equality and social development priorities

 

Required Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • At least 3 years in gender, social development, or community-based projects
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience

 

Core Competencies:

 

  • Strong understanding of gender and social development frameworks
  • Research and data analysis proficiency
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strategic planning and project management
  • Team leadership and staff development expertise
  • Cultural sensitivity and commitment to social justice

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree in Gender Studies or Development Studies
  • Experience with government social development programs
  • Knowledge of Philippine development context
  • Experience managing donor-funded projects
