Airport Architect / Urban Planner

Experience Required: 5 years (preferred) / 3 years (minimum)
License: Licensed Architect with urban planning specialization

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Airport Architect and Urban Planner to lead airport infrastructure design and master planning projects. You'll combine architectural expertise with urban development strategy to create functional, sustainable airport environments that integrate seamlessly with surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop airport master plans and architectural designs balancing operations, passenger experience, and urban integration
• Lead multidisciplinary design teams from concept through construction documentation
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards (ICAO, FAA) and local regulations
• Collaborate with airport operators, municipal authorities, and stakeholders
• Incorporate sustainability and modern transportation systems
• Optimize designs for budget and schedule efficiency

Required Qualifications

✓ Licensed Architect specializing in urban planning
✓ 3+ years airport architecture or infrastructure planning experience
✓ Proficiency in BIM, CAD, and design visualization tools
✓ Knowledge of aviation standards and airport operations
✓ Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Planning
• Airport expansion or terminal modernization experience
• LEED or green building certification knowledge
• Portfolio of successful airport/transportation projects
