1. JOB PURPOSE (Outline scope of Job)

Carry out Inspections and monitor all major civil/plant equipment operating within the client site, and to ensure that all equipment is fit for purpose and meets Bahrain / British standards and client requirements, required for all field activities (Maintenance, Drilling, Facilities Construction, Wells Work Over, Field Operations, Production Engineering, etc.). as directed by the Rigging & Lifting Coordinator. Reporting directly to the clients Rigging & Lifting Coordinator. Supporting all the requirements of the client and ensuring all contractors are in compliance to the clients Lifting and Rigging Operational Procedures & Processes, HSSE Procedures & all local jurisdictional regulations and standards.  

 

2.  JOB KEY RESULTS AREAS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Inspection of Heavy Equipment, J.C.B. Loaders, Graders, Compactors, Dump trucks, Excavators.
  • Knowledge and experience of Preventative maintenance of all T/P equipment.
  • Carry out Daily reports, weekly inspections of all equipment.
  • Compile a database of all equipment.
  • Monitor and control all equipment to ensure all equipment meets all procedures and safe practices are complying to clients Lifting and Rigging procedures & processes and all local jurisdictional regulations and standard.
  • Liaise with T/P dispatcher for all movements of equipment on site.
  • Support contractors on day-to-day activities supporting also their planning and scheduling to ensure safe practices in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform inspection, auditing of contractor compliance to regulations, standards and certifications.
  • Participate in incident investigations if required.
  • Participate in risk assessments
  • Assist with administration of Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Develop daily and weekly reports

 

3. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/KEY INTERACTIONS

 

Work closely with all departments (Maintenance, Drilling, Facilities Construction, Wells Work Over, Field Operations, Production Engineering, etc.) Supervisors and Engineers, and company’s Contractors to provide required support.

 

4. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY / PROBLEM SOLVING LEVEL

 

  Working Methods

:

Determines work methods from several existing alternative methods according to established policies and professional standards. Work assignments are subject to review and direction.

Fully Responsible for ensuring all major equipment is fit for purpose.

Recommends P&P in designated area

5. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Candidate must have mechanical experience of all Heavy equipment.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Heavy equipment experiences in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Risk management skills.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills.
  • Good Organizational skills.
  • Experience with contractor performance management.
  • Good team player.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Based Safety.
  • Good PC skills including MS Office.
