(Accredited Checking) Civil Engineer

Functional Competencies:

• Responsible for evaluating structural concept and details of individual projects submitted by Qualified Person and carrying out independent analysis and checking to ensure safety and compliance with BCA and relevant authority’s requirements.
• Day-to-day handling and managing of AC projects, including detailed analysis & checking, production of design reports and project correspondence.
• Regular monitoring of project progress and reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
• Managing project deliverables viz. design reports, progress reports and presentations.
• To liaise with Qualified Person in all projects related issues and representing the company in project, progress meeting and technical meeting.
• To monitor and control sub consultants/vendors (for project) on their deliverables, schedule, quality as well as assessment.
• To assist finance department to certify payment from the sub-consultants/vendors timely and claim the receivables from the clients timely according to project payment schedule.
• To assist the Business Unit Manager to enhance group competency by actively participating in implementation & timely updating of design tools/standards/procedures/rules & initiatives by governments authorities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in managing large-scale projects in civil and infrastructure, preferably with Singapore LTA or HDB.
• Good knowledge in detailed design of civil engineering works.
• Familiar with Euro code of practices, relevant regulations, and submission requirements.
