Job description
1. Responsible for organizing and monitoring the day to day activities of the IND equipment inspection team and subcontractors
2. Carry out review and approval of lifting and heavy equipment inspection reports, including deliverables from subcontractors and other third parties
3. Assists in the continuous improvement and maintenance of the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the Industry BU mission and in support of the organizational objectives of the organization in general.
4. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the IND equipment inspection team, through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between operations, support and business functions.
5. Provide inputs in the long-term planning of the BU as well as the organization, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
6. Ensure adherence of the inspection team to the operations budget.
7. Development of individual training program of equipment inspectors, including budget planning
8. Monitoring the progress, delivery and proper invoicing of equipment inspection jobs.
9. Project management – ensure project completion within time and budget, technical controls, quality of deliverables and mitigation of risks
Job requirements
1. Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of experience as a certified equipment inspector
3. Have undergone training in equipment and health and safety inspections, such as LEEA, TESDA, OSHC
4. Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Commitment to social justice and the mission
6. Strong background and work experience in inspection
7. Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
8. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and fosters a collaborative team environment
10. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
11. Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
12. Ability to look at situations from several points of view
