Job Summary:

 

Join Bureau Veritas Mission Critical's Accounting team as an Entry-Level Accountant and make an immediate impact in a collaborative, fast-paced finance environment. You will provide comprehensive accounting support to a dynamic 3-person team based on the US East Coast while collaborating with global colleagues across Ireland and India. This is a remote position with a required US East Coast location.

 

You will work with a supportive team, gain exposure to global financial operations, and develop skills across the full accounting cycle: from AP processing to month-end close to external audits. This role offers a strong foundation for career growth in accounting and finance in an international group.

 

As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will take ownership of critical financial processes that keep our operations running smoothly:

 

Core Accounting Functions

  • Manage the accounts payable lifecycle: process supplier invoices, coordinate approvals, and record costs against analytical projects
  • Issue client invoices (labor and expenses) via email and dedicated platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review employee expense receipts for compliance, accuracy, and completeness
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries for accruals and balance sheet reconciliations (D+3 deadline)
  • Assist with annual audits across three legal entities

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations teams on day-to-day tasks, purchase order funding, and supplier payment workflows
  • Assist on cash collection activities alongside Operations teams
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, operational leaders, and the India-based finance team to ensure process consistency
  • Build and maintain professional relationships across departments to enhance collaboration and process adherence

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency
  • Contribute to high-quality financial governance through proactive problem-solving

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage AP process (invoices from supplier, approval from dedicated management, record costs against analytical projects).
  • Review employee expense receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and other departments to ensure processes are followed correctly and enhance cross-functional collaboration (billing, employee expenses, supplier invoices).
  • Collaborate with Operations teams on day-to-day topics (invoicing, Funds for Purchase Order, supplier invoices to be approved and paid).
  • Issue invoices (labor and employee expenses) and submit them to clients (email, platform).
  • Assist with the month end close process to ensure all close deadlines are met in a timely manner: Journal Entries for month-end accruals and Balance Sheet Reconciliations (until D+3).
  • Assist with annual audits of legal entities (3).
  • Assist with cash collection monitoring with operations teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications, and Experience (required)

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
