Position Summary
The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth across the Oil & Gas market within the Permian Basin region. This role will lead strategic business development efforts, establish and expand relationships with key operators, EPC firms, midstream companies, and industrial clients, and develop opportunities across Bureau Veritas' portfolio of testing, inspection, certification, commissioning, and technical services.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, particularly upstream, midstream, and related industrial operations within the Permian Basin, and will have a proven track record of generating revenue growth through consultative sales and strategic account management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales
•    Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to grow revenue and market share within the Permian Basin.
•    Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with Oil & Gas operators, producers, midstream companies, EPC contractors, and industrial clients.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, executives, project managers, procurement teams, and operational leaders.
•    Lead the sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and project award.
•    Develop strategic account plans and execute growth initiatives for assigned key accounts.
•    Meet or exceed annual sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Market Expansion
•    Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
•    Collaborate with operational leaders to develop service solutions aligned with customer requirements.
•    Promote cross-selling opportunities across testing, inspection, certification, commissioning, asset integrity, environmental, and technical services offerings.
•    Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and networking functions.
Customer Engagement
•    Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding operational challenges and recommending value-added solutions.
•    Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and support contract renewals and long-term partnership development.
•    Coordinate customer presentations, proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
Internal Collaboration
•    Work closely with operations, technical experts, finance, and leadership teams to ensure successful delivery of services.
•    Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence through the CRM system.
•    Support strategic planning and annual budgeting activities.

 

Qualifications
Education
•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
•    MBA preferred.
Experience
•    8+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
•    Minimum of 3 years in a senior-level business development or strategic sales role.
•    Demonstrated success developing business within the Permian Basin market.
•    Experience selling technical, industrial, testing, inspection, certification, engineering, commissioning, or related services preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Strong understanding of upstream, midstream, and industrial Oil & Gas operations.
•    Established network of industry contacts throughout the Permian Basin.
•    Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, and close complex deals.
•    Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
•    Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business functions.
•    Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales forecasting tools.

•    New revenue generation

•    Sales pipeline development
•    Customer retention and contract renewals
•    Cross-selling and service line expansion
Travel Requirements
•    Approximately 50-70% travel throughout the Permian Basin and surrounding regions.
•    Periodic travel for customer meetings, industry events, and internal business meetings.
