Job Title: Sample Logistics Associate
Reports to: Sample Support Supervisor / Customer Service Supervisor / Customer Service Manager
Department: Sample Logistics / Customer Service

Basic Purpose: What is the overall function of the job?

• Sample receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team. This position also includes administrative functions

Key Accountability/Responsibilities: What specifically is this job expected to accomplish?

• Greet all clients in a friendly, positive manner
• Receive all external client samples
• Unpack samples and organize them according to analytical requirements
• Ensure client samples are entered into LIMS and approved in a timely manner according to sample holding time, test code, due date, and / or received date
• Ensure all required samples are redirected as required
• Prepare bottle orders requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
• Provide support to the Sample Log In team
• Ensure accuracy of results and data entry
• Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor
• Ensure supply inventories are maintained
• Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base including communication to project management and supervisor as appropriate
• Monitor/Calibrate the temperatures of fridges, thermometers and temperature guns
• Adhere to Bureau Veritas’s quality systems QA/QC, SOPs and external accreditation requirements.
• Adhere to Bureau Veritas's safety policies.
• All other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Knowledge: What skills and knowledge are used to carry out job responsibilities and solve problems?

• High School Diploma
• Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
• Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
• Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required

The expected salary for this position is $17.60 CAD hourly. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location (where applicable), internal equity, and market conditions.  

** Reminder that the range cannot exceed $50K for Ontario

Rappel : Pour l’Ontario, l’écart entre le minimum et le maximum de la fourchette salariale ne peut pas dépasser 50 000 $.
