Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About the Role
Bureau Veritas is currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support our laboratory operations. This role is responsible for receiving and shipping merchandise according to established Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring accurate inventory handling, and supporting smooth sample flow and warehouse organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive merchandise and verify content and quantities
- Distribute and place laboratory inventory efficiently
- Enter packaging slips daily into the Bureau Veritas Flex system
- Order and maintain daily inventory of sampling bottles (Bottle Prep Department)
- Order and maintain daily inventory of gas tanks for the laboratory and ensure safe handling
- Distribute daily sample coolers received from couriers to sample entry for login
- Ship subcontracted analyses to external laboratories and track chain of custody (including waybill numbers)
- Assist in preparing and shipping sampling containers to clients in a professional and organized manner
- Maintain organization of the warehouse and stock areas
- Collaborate with sample entry, project managers, and customer service teams to ensure strong client service
- Work with supervisors and operations teams to ensure supplies are always available
- Follow up with couriers and BV drivers regarding deliveries and pickups between Montreal and Quebec City
- Support sample disposal and archiving when required
- Follow and participate in all quality assurance policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- DEC (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of related experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable, independent, motivated, and able to work well in a team
- Basic computer skills (asset)
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when required
- Overtime may be required during peak seasons
