Minimum Required Qualifications

Graduate / B.sc in Engineering with at least 15 years of experience with reference to  Industrial, Process, maintenance, Supply chain, or process safety with at least 5 years of experience in management position

Technical knowledge

knowledge in API codes and standards, project specifications and procedures

Well versed in MS Office tools especially MS Excel & MS Word

Experience

• Knows the principals of P&L
• Experience in Asset integrity Management system
• Able to read and understand Contract’s Terms & Conditions
• Able to understand the purpose and principals of TIC business (Testing, Inspection & certification).
• Previous experience in Leading & Managing Team(s)
• Previous experience in dealing with external clients (including verbal and written communication) Stress resilient

Primary Functions

• The IND OPEX manager to develop OPEX business in BV Oman.
• Assist and work with sales team directing marketing and sales within INDUSTRY. Identify new clients and ensure OPEX contact and sales process is accomplished.
• centralizes market information of the concerned Industry in BV and together with Country Chief Executive.
• The IND OPEX Manager provides technical advice to the surveyors and when required acts as project manager where he will be the interlocutor between the client and assigned surveyors and other Bureau Veritas units as required (Technical Centre, Head Office or other Bureau Veritas office).
• Reviews manning of concerned OPEX Business line including qualification of surveyors and makes recommendations to Chief Executive for Oman concerning new recruitment and staff training.
• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Oman HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and practices.
• Ensure compliance with international and local statutory, industrial and legal requirements and Group guidelines, including Ethics, Technical, Quality and Risk management.

Business Requirements

• Orchestrates the intended outcome that balances Bureau Veritas contract, budget, time and costs limitations
• Acts as an "HUB" for all activities reaching out to the Client (or Client's representative), contract task force as well as group and external subcontractors involved in the contractual duty process.
• Brings to the contract the required resources as well as the tools necessary to follow the contract schedule, cost / profit as well as quality on the contracts way to a successful completion.
• Full knowledge of the project's technical issues and its status
• Analysis of the contract documents, quality, legal and finance aspects, general requirements, specifications and plans combined with the estimate and scope of work constitute Project Manager’s objective of contract goal setting.

Customer Focus

• Offer / tender:
• Tender Analysis/ Contract Review (contractual, legal and technical aspects)
• Preparation of Technical Offer (method of statement, contract organization structure, deliverables, etc…)
• Preparation of Commercial Offer (price structure, cost / time / resources / profit estimation, price conditions / technical and contractual qualifications, etc.)
• Offer follow up and negotiation
• When dealing on a large project, elaborates the detail technical part of the proposal in co-ordination with the contract manager and with the assistance of local and corporate resource
