Position: IT Executive

 

Location: Muscat

 

Qualification: Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in IT/computer science or equivalent. Technical Certification like CCNA, MCSE, ITIL etc would be advantageous.

 

Experience: Minimum 5 Years of prior IT field experience in networking and system configuration for established organizations.

    • Willing to travel within the region on a regular basis

 

Experience:

 

  • LAN, WAN and Network security experience
  • Server Hardware and Operating systems
  • Outlook/Office 365/Lotus Notes , experience on mailing system
  • Backup and restore , design and implementation
  • Database Management
  • Active Directory setup management.
  • Work Experience on PRI lines , EPABX systems
  • Work experience on conferencing solutions
  • NAS / Storages
  • Experience in Graphic design / cloud /web solutions
  • Corporate and third party application support
  • Cyber Security

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Helpdesk Management
  • 2nd level support for Server activity, Internet lease line, MPLS n/w and decentralize n/w setup
  • Backup and restore of server data
  • Hardware troubleshooting and part replacement
  • Office 365/ Lotus server user management
  • Inventory Management
  • Support for HO projects like Siebel patch management, Training setup, configuration of prerequisites for HO applications
  • Visit to Regional area offices for IT support, LAN Cabling, convert systems in AD domain
  • Active Directory Management
  • Corporate and third party application support
  • Patch management for operating system, antivirus etc.
  • Support for UPS, inverters, EPABX systems, PRI lines, photocopy and printers etc.
  • IT support to acquired company, BV lab (considering above all points)
  • Support to WebEx and teleconferencing
  • Support to cloud / web solutions.
  • Ensure availability and security of systems aligned to agreed business requirements
  • Keep technology state of the art, consistent with business requirements
  • Assess, select and manage technical external support
  •  Provide second / third level support
  • Collect information on latest developments in area of responsibility
  • Identify, communicate and correct system failures and inefficiencies
  • Provide technical support to consultants and project leaders
  • Ensure operation of technical systems consistent with policies and procedures
  • Ensure adequate documentation of systems
  • Contribute to development service level agreements in agreement with supervisor and business
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Provide IT Support when and where needed across the region/zone
  • Call logging on Unicenter Service Desk and tool set
  • Interface with other regional departments, HR and Finance
  • Participate in Projects upon request of  IT/IS management
  • Discrete and respectful use and attitude towards sensitive(personal) information, obtained on request or in the line of duty
  • Ensure clear communication
