About the role
As an Environmental Invoicing and Payment Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting accounts receivable activities while improving the overall client experience related to invoicing and payments.
You will help enhance the consistency, quality, and efficiency of invoicing processes, client statements, and follow-ups on past due accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to follow up on past due accounts and support timely payment collection
- Generate and manage client-specific statements
- Review aging and trial balance reports to identify delinquent accounts
- Investigate and resolve unapplied credits in collaboration with clients
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Track and report on past due metrics and performance targets
- Coordinate communications and escalations for outstanding invoices
- Identify appropriate escalation points and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
- Monitor top overdue accounts and provide regular progress updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement of invoicing and collection processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring
- University degree or college diploma (finance, administration, or related field)
- Experience in collections, invoicing, or financial support functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) is an asset
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service
Nice to have:
- Experience in a laboratory or scientific environment
- Knowledge of environmental or industry regulations (e.g., CCME, CSR, MMER)

This posting is for an existing vacancy. The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000.
Our salary ranges reflect the range of skills and experience required for the posted position. The final offer amount for this role will depend on geographical region, applicable experience, internal equity, and the skillset of the candidate.
