  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues in real time
  • Track and maintain inspection logs, reports, and project documentation
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, identifying risks, and supporting mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements on all job sites
  • Support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and field procedures
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on quality, progress, and risks

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and QA/QC practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with project management software is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

Competencies:

  • Accountability: Takes ownership of work and delivers consistent, high-quality results
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Problem Solving: Identifies issues early and drives practical, timely solutions
  • Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic project environments with shifting priorities
  • Integrity: Maintains high ethical standards and commitment to quality and safety
  • Communication: Clearly conveys technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

Education, Certifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of QA/QC or construction inspection experience, preferably within NYC projects
  • Working knowledge of NYC Building Code (Chapter 17) and standards such as ACI, IBC, AWS, and NICET
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required (OSHA 30-hour preferred)

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods
  • May be required to lift and carry materials up to 25–50 lbs
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise levels, and construction-related hazards
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
