SUMMARY: Manages the daily activities of project staff as it relates to the successful execution of assigned projects. Leads a team of project staff on specific projects giving them guidance throughout their projects. Answer technical questions related to the project, perform technical reviews, understand client specific protocols, and provide training to project staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.
1. General familiarity with all Project Management services, budget development, forecasting, and management.
2. Manages team members via pro-active coaching and mentorship, and addresses performance and/or capacity issues as they arise.
3. Conduct performance reviews and manage team members.
4. Works with Program Manager to identifies measurable and trackable key performance indicators that promote continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
5. Maintain web-based project management database.
6. Monitors and reports on the progress of assigned programs using client-specific and internal tracking platforms.
7. Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (up to 90% of workweek) to client sites and/or client meetings across the U.S. Overnight stays away from home may be required.
8. Manages project staff assigned to projects on a project-by-project basis, providing direction, support, and technical guidance, reviewing and evaluating their work progress, identifying and resolving problems.
9. Supports the management team in daily activities as it relates to the successful management of programs, including managing the overall direction, completion, and budget of the project.
10. Manages the cross reference of resources onsite.
11. Interfaces with client representative onsite and coordinates the team schedule and responsibilities.
12. Manage multiple tasks and projects across multiple programs.
13. Maintains project-by-project communication on programs with the management team and keeps them informed of any actual or potential problems including continuing updates of when reports will be e-mailed/shipped to production.
14. This is a client facing role; must be able to represent BV at project specific meetings.
15. Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
16. Plans, schedules, and communicates project timelines.
17. Familiar with contract administration and change order review.
18. Performs report reviews when required.
19. Quality control and assurance.
20. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.
21. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs.
22. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
23. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.
24. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
25. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Indirectly and directly supervises employees on the team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; minimum of three to five years of related experience. In lieu of degree, five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
1. Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
2. Employees who incur $2,000 or more per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to obtain a Corporate Credit Card. Employees who incur less than $2,000 per year in company-related travel expenses will be required to have sufficient personal credit to cover their business travel costs.
3. Current PMP preferred.
Language Ability: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Technology Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in operating a computer, having knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the onsite/field duties, the employee is required to:

§ Sit, Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to observe basement and grade-level crawl spaces, and/or to read equipment data plates when necessary (at least once for each building assessed)

§ Climb and balance various types of ladders to access flat roofs/hatch access (at least once for each building assessed)
§ Repetitive use of hands/fingers for keyboard interaction (frequently)

§ Vision (close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus)

§ Work Environment: The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical components and assemblies, frequently exposed to work near energized electrical components and assemblies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, inclement weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level at the project site is usually moderate.
While performing the office/offsite duties of this job:
The employee is regularly required to use hands. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the home or company office environment is usually quiet.
