As a Country Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in shaping and executing the strategic financial vision at Bureau Veritas Norway. Your financial expertise combined with a strategic mindset, will be crucial in driving growth and profitability. You will oversee financial performance, ensure accurate accounting and payroll processes, and provide valuable insights that are key to achieving the company’s goals. Som of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee key financial processes, including the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
  • Drive the effectiveness and performance of the Finance Function, coordinating actions with local managers.
  • Support operations by implementing clear financial guidelines, management reports, and performance financial KPI's.
  • Ensure local financial procedures align fully with corporate financial policies and standards.

Through these responsibilities you will work with analysis and reporting of financial data crucial for decision making, and that the financial data and records are always accurate and in compliance with different principles, processes, and statutory regulations. You will manage month-end and year-end closing process and oversee the day-to-day financial operations, as well as day-to-day operations of the financial function.

What will make you successful in Bureau Veritas?

We are looking for a new colleague who holds a higher education in accounting, finance, or a related field, who through some years of experience has established a valuable knowledge base that will support you and help in understanding the needs of an international business with a matrix structure.

Your strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, payroll regulations, and regulatory compliance will make you a financial wizard and the go-to person for all things finance. Being in an international environment, we are looking for someone fluent in English and Norwegian, who at the same time values effective and proper communication, to allow for knowledge-sharing across the organization.

Through your proactive result orientation and analytical skills, you demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve complex financial and operational issues and can do so with the highest standard for ethical decision making and integrity.
