Marketing Specialist

 

 

SUMMARY:  Responsible for coordinating, designing, creating and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of Bureau Veritas Fuels services. Will develop sales presentations and provide reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new market opportunities and competitive pricing. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a business field.  The candidate must be a driven individual with a team oriented philosophy that is flexible and has the tenacity to finish projects. This position reports to the Director of Fuels. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:  

 

  • Works with management to understand company operations to facilitate more targeted marketing activity 
  • Analysis of competitors to understand their strategies and impact on Bureau Veritas Fuels operations 
  • Works with Commercial Manager, and operations, to identify potential new business revenue streams 
  • Review RFP and bid/qualifications request documents so that client requirements are clearly understood. 
  • Prepares a proposal schedule that includes ample time for document development, all reviews, production and delivery 
  • Tracks and updates the status of major proposals 
  • Creates quotes and manages the quote creation process for transactional business (inside sales) 
  • Prepare major client proposals from start to finish. 
  • Attend sales and marketing meetings for business development team 
  • Work with business development team and Key Account Managers developing sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint 
  • Trade show coordination and preparation. 
  • Maintain and manage Bureau Veritas Fuels sales collateral 
  • Location flyers 
  • Location capabilities 
  • Capabilities flyers 
  • Creation and standardization of promotional flyers for special events 
  • Location open houses 
  • Grand openings 
  • Event flyers 
  • Assist where needed in updating rates and contracts database 
  • Work with others on the business development team and key account management team to sell and promote company services 
  • Maintain Bureau Veritas Fuels web site updates and additions 
  • Promotional items - Take lead on ordering promotional items and ensure inventory is consistently stocked. Track successes/failures for both and apply knowledge to future ventures. 
  • Attend client related industry functions with business development team 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:    

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a marketing or business discipline. 
  • Role would suit recent graduate 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Some experience in implementing marketing programs is desirable 
  • Some experience in marketing analysis and data manipulation is desirable 
  • Some understanding of marketing theory is desirable. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, market information papers.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • The work will be majority office-based; however there will be requirement to understand operations. Therefore, while performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and with explosive material and can be regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
