Als (Senior) Chemist bij Bureau Veritas draag je bij aan het waarborgen van de kwaliteit van onder andere olie, petrochemische producten en landbouwproducten. Je werk zal op locatie plaatsvinden in de haven van Rotterdam, en je zult samenwerken met een klein, informeel team onder leiding van een ploegleider. Deze baan biedt volop mogelijkheden om te groeien. Bureau Veritas stimuleert interne mobiliteit en veel van je voorgangers zijn doorgegroeid naar meer senior functies binnen de organisatie. Wat ga je doen

• Je voert een diversiteit aan analyses uit op verschillende producten binnen de (petro-)chemie met behulp va verschillende analysetechnieken
• Je communiceert duidelijk en regelmatig met andere afdelingen (bijv. Survey en Klantenservice)
• Je werkt in ploegendiensten. Dit is een 5 ploegendienst
• Overige werkzaamheden binnen het laboratorium

Wat breng je mee

• Een afgeronde MBO opleiding in relevante richting
• Minimaal 3 jaar werkervaring in een soortgelijke functie in een petro-chemisch laboratorium
• Een goede beheersing van het Engels en/of Nederlands (mondeling en schriftelijk)
• Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden
• Vermogen om zelfstandig te werken, en soms onder druk
• Je wordt gevraagd een Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag (VOG) te verstrekken

About your roleAs a (Senior) Chemist at Bureau Veritas, you contribute to ensuring the quality of oil, petrochemical products and agricultural products, among others. Your work will take place on-site in the port of Rotterdam, and you will work with a small, informal team led by a shift leader. This job offers plenty of opportunities to grow. What will you do

• You will perform a variety of analyses on different products within the (petro-)chemical industry using different analysis techniques
• You communicate clearly and regularly with other departments (e.g. Survey and Customer Service)
• You work in shifts. This is a 5 shift system
• Other activities within the laboratory

What do you bring to the table

• A completed MBO education in a relevant direction
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position in a petrochemical laboratory
• A good command of English and/or Dutch (oral and written)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, and sometimes under pressure
• You will be asked to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
