Freelance Lead Auditor SSC - SLOVAKIA

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead Auditor Freelance SCC for on-call audit activities at sites and facilities in Slovakia. 

The professional will operate as an independent auditor, ensuring objective, comprehensive assessments compliant with international SCC standards and local Slovak regulations. Availability will be flexible, with activations based on project needs.

This is a freelance, on-call position with no exclusivity requirement, offering flexibility and autonomy in managing availability and workload.

Primary Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Preparation: Define audit scope, evaluation criteria, methodologies, and schedule in coordination with the client; prepare audit documentation and checklists
• Audit Execution: Perform comprehensive on-site verification at industrial facilities, verifying SCC compliance, safety protocols, and local HSE regulations
• Evidence Collection: Systematically document non-conformities, observations, strengths, and improvement opportunities through interviews, document review, and site inspection
• Report Preparation: Develop detailed, objective, and verifiable audit reports with clear findings, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations
• Follow-up & Verification: Verify corrective action implementation, conduct follow-up audits, and support client improvement processes
• Stakeholder Communication: Interface professionally with client management, technical teams, regulatory authorities, and other interested parties
• Regulatory & Technical Updates: Maintain current knowledge of SCC standards evolution, HSE regulations, and Slovak local requirements
• Technical Consultation: Provide interpretive support on SCC requirements, industry best practices, and compliance strategies
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all audit activities comply with IRCA/UKAS standards, maintain audit trail documentation, and adhere to confidentiality agreements

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Safety, Management) or related disciplines
• Valid Lead Auditor SCC certification recognized internationally (IRCA, UKAS, or equivalent)

Technical Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of SCC standards, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and related HSE regulations
• Familiarity with Slovak local regulations, EU directives, and international regulatory requirements
• Competence in audit methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and root cause analysis
• Understanding of construction safety, operational safety, and process safety management
• Knowledge of incident investigation and corrective action management
