Associate Project Manager (Utility Scale Renewable Energy)

Job Summary:

Associate Project Manager LV1 – Bureau Veritas, Power

· Act as the owner’s project manager for the commissioning phase of the project.

· Manage and coordinate utility interconnection processes for construction projects and related

documentation needed for project interconnection and testing.

· Coordinate with EPC contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to and compliance with

contract terms and delivery of contractual deliverables in accordance with the project budget and schedule.

· Manage and coordinate activities of client’s team of project engineering, commissioning, procurement, asset

management, legal, finance and accounting staff, as well as deliverables of EPC contractor, project

stakeholders, and regulatory and permitting authorities.

· Manage the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external

third-party stakeholders and project financing needs

· Lead the coordination of project turnover exercises from construction to asset operations team for assigned

projects

· Manages job books and turnover documents to ensure timely submission of project design and procurement

documents to independent engineers.

· Generate precise, succinct, and accurate reports that keep project stakeholders properly informed of project

activities and issues.

· Provide commissioning management, on-site inspections and documentation to ensure adherence to

contractor quality management plan.

· Ensure project quality control and safe construction practices by conducting on-site inspections as needed,

coordinating with third-party firms if necessary.

Skills The requirements listed below are representative of acquired skills required.

· Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry a must (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission)

· Project Management or Construction Management experience is a must

· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

· Attention to detail

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills

· Excellent computer skills, including MS-Excel, Word, MS-Project, Outlook, and Bluebeam Revu (or similar) · Excellent customer service skills · Ability to exercise sound independent judgment · Ability to prioritize multiple projects or tasks

Education, Certifications, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or minimum of two years of relevant experience in the power industry involved in

construction activities with an EPC or IPP

· Previous experience in the Renewable Energy sector & project management is essential
