Business Development Manager will be responsible assisting the Director of Business Development in the execution and implementation of the sales strategy, tracking the strategic growth, qualifying leads, developing a new business pipeline, and identifying merger and acquisition opportunities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Help manage the overall sales strategy and create a pipeline of revenue
•    Help drive our key growth initiatives on target markets and service offerings
•    Provide strategic customer relationship oversight of new and existing customers
•    Be the key point of contact for the new targeted customers as decided and divided up by the Director of BD
•    Participate in relevant trade-shows and conferences
•    Help in finding RFP’s, manage response process, and coordinate related activities
•    Maintain working relationship with the proposal team 
•    Drive the development of cost proposals
•    Partner with marketing team to drive awareness of business capabilities
•    Utilize market data to perform analysis to identify potential new clients, recognize market trends and identify new areas of sales growth
•    Enter and maintain data in Salesforce CRM on all leads, opportunities, and sales 
•    Identify new business opportunities 
•    Drive various service offerings within current and new customer bases.
•    Translate emerging technologies and regulatory requirements into new organizational initiatives. 
•    Evaluate new strategies to pursue both short and long term objectives for the business. 
•    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer onboarding and support.
•    Cultivating relationships with energy storage developers and generation owners 
•    Evaluating, defining & executing business development strategies 
•    Developing and executing outreach strategies with major market players, as well as prospective customers and strategic partners


Skills
The requirements listed below are representative of acquired skills required.
•    Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry a must (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission)
•    Project Management or Construction Management experience is a must
•    Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
•    Attention to detail
•    Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•    Excellent computer skills, including MS-Excel, Word, MS-Project, Outlook, and Bluebeam Revu (or similar)
•    Excellent customer service skills
•    Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
•    Ability to prioritize multiple projects or tasks

 

Education, Certifications, and Experience 
•    4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business, or relative experience 
•    Prefer experience in the Renewable Energy space 
•    Prefer 1-3 years sales or sales support experience in the engineering, procurement or construction sectors supporting renewable energy, power or industrial capital projects


Travel Requirements
•    Up to 20-30% travel may be required
