Senior Field Inspector / Engineer – Industrial Equipment & Machinery
We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Inspector/Engineer to lead on-site evaluations of industrial equipment and machinery compliance for U.S. and international jurisdictions.
This is a client-facing, field-based role for professionals who are comfortable applying electrical and equipment safety standards in real-world industrial environments. The position supports complex manufacturing, automation, and specialized equipment installations.
Travel may exceed 50% depending on project load and geographic coverage.
Focus
- Lead onsite inspections and compliance evaluations of industrial equipment and machinery
- Apply U.S. and international safety standards in active industrial facilities
- Perform or review equipment and machinery risk assessments
- Identify nonconformities and define clear, defensible corrective action requirements
- Prepare structured technical reports suitable for customer and regulatory review
- Review reports and technical findings prepared by other inspectors or engineers, as assigned
- Provide technical mentoring and field guidance to less-experienced engineers when required
- Engage directly with engineering teams and regulatory authorities
- Exercise independent technical judgment in environments with incomplete or legacy documentation
- Support additional company-required technical or operational tasks as assigned
This role evaluates compliance against applicable standards and does not assume design responsibility unless formally assigned.
