• Perform and assist with estimating for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission), including quantity take-offs and CAPEX budget development and analysis.
• Participate in project review exercises pertaining to general evaluation, design, studies, value engineering, scheduling, constructability, EPC/contractor/supplier contract exhibits, etc.
• Prepare RFP documents including instructions to bidders documents, bid form(s), scope(s) of work, and any other artifacts that may be required for successful execution of the RFP process.
• Manage RFPs through life of process including issuing addendums and answering RFI(s) and performing the analysis as listed below:
o Conducting scope gap and bid leveling analysis of each proposal.
o Participate in and lead follow-up interviews and meetings with each bidder to identify/clarify scope gaps, overlaps, double-ups, unnecessary contingencies, and any other identified risk factors within each bidder’s proposal.
o Assist clients with EPC contractor selection based on weighted criteria process and any other inclusive factors that may surface during the RFP process.
• Provide input on and update contract exhibits, as required, for completeness and conformity to terms and stipulations within the overall agreement.
• Support clients through EPC/contractor/supplier/acquisition agreement negotiations, acting as one of their subject matter experts throughout the negotiation process.
• Support clients on any project activities through review of project documentation, including, but not limited to performing red-flag reviews of the project development materials, due diligence site visits and developing due diligence reports highlighting opportunities, risks, and overall constructability of potential projects.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to support clients through their preconstruction activities.
• Provides support to Business Development team as necessary to maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new relationships with potential clients
• Review submitted project schedules for compliance with contract and RFP requirements, including review of project details, work sequence, schedule logic, critical path review, and provide both opinion and commentary on any issues or opportunities to improve project schedule.
• Support scheduling team with development and updates of client schedule templates and reports.
• Support internal BV project teams as needed.
• Communicates timely with all involved parties as needed, including attending meetings with all involved stakeholders.
• Keeps accurate meeting notes for all project meetings.
