Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the resources needed for assigned projects within the defined scope provided by the client.
  • Provide strategy for assigned projects to ensure their successful delivery.
  • Set productivity and quality targets and assess results in the scope of assigned projects, ensuring the assigned project is meeting necessary deliverable deadlines to clients.
  • Monitor project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose improvements and cost savings.
  • Help escalate project issues that might impede project delivery and coordinate solutions with the assigned preconstruction manager(s), project manager(s), or project scheduler(s) on the project.
  • Participate in design, schedule, value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements.
  • Provide support to the business development team as necessary to maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new relationships with prospective clients.
  • Keep accurate meeting notes at all meetings including lists of action items, recorded decisions, red flags, deliverable status, open or closed items, and any other pertinent information necessary for successful project execution.
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, on track, and within scope.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and direction for associate project management team members.

 

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, technical specifications, schedule and various other project artifacts.
  • Extreme attention to detail and high level of organization.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including extensive use of software such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, and Bluebeam Revu (or similar).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

 

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • College Degree
  • Experience in the Renewable Energy industry necessary (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission).
  • 8+ Years of relevant work experience.
  • Project Management or Construction Management experience required.
