Aligned Incentives, a division of Bureau Veritas, is seeking a Senior Report Developer to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making for our clients. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in SQL, data modeling, and visualization to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and scalable dashboards. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, user-friendly reports that adhere to best practices in performance, data visualization and UX design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy reports and dashboards using SQL, PowerBI and other tools to visualize key business metrics and trends.
  • Build and maintain efficient data models using SQL, Power Query and DAX; handle ETL processes from SQL and other sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on dashboard designs.
  • Optimize query performance (SQL tuning, DAX tuning, efficient data models, fast-loading reports, Direct Query and hybrid models).
  • Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) for access control.
  • Stay current with BI and reporting best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Report Developer with excellent SQL skills and a strong visualization portfolio.
  • Expertise with performance optimization in SQL (including query and data access optimization), DAX tuning and efficient data modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI Desktop and Service, including DAX and Power Query (M language).
  • Strong grasp of UI/UX principles in dashboard design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, understand, and optimize complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis in relational databases.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, DataBricks, or similar tools for cloud-based data warehousing and reporting.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Omni, etc.).
  • Experience or interest in ESG/sustainability data.
  • Power BI certification (DA-100 / PL-300 or equivalent).

  • Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000, depending on experience, education, and qualifications
