Als (Junior) Field Inspector bij Bureau Veritas Fuels speel je een cruciale rol in het waarborgen van de hoogste kwaliteitsnormen voor onze klanten. Je werkt met passie en nauwkeurigheid, zowel zelfstandig als in samenwerking met enthousiaste collega’s en zorgt ervoor dat alles volgens de juiste procedures en standaarden wordt uitgevoerd. Wat ga je doen?

In deze veelzijdige en dynamische rol ben jij als (Junior) Field Inspector verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van gedetailleerde veldinspecties op diverse locaties. Van kleine projecten tot complexe industriële locaties. Je levert een directe bijdrage aan de kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van de producten en processen die we inspecteren. Je werkt samen met een divers team, waarbij je altijd de hoogste standaarden handhaaft.

Als (Junior)  Field Inspector heb je de vrijheid om zelfstandig te werken en jouw expertise in te zetten voor zowel klanten als collega’s. Dit betekent ook dat jij flexibiliteit uitstraalt naar de klanten. Je doet alle werkzaamheden passend bij jouw kennis en ervaring op de juiste manier. Verder ben jij als persoon comminicatief vaardig in verschillende lagen. Jij bent namelijk de contactpersoon voor de klant, maar ook intern voor bijvoorbeeld het lab en customer service.

Verder beschik je over de volgende vaardigheden:

• Het uitvoeren van (complexe) kwaliteits- en kwantiteitsinspecties volgens de TBV-matrix en de geldende werkinstructies, richtlijnen en normstandaarden

• Het rapporteren van jouw bevindingen op een heldere en gestructureerde manier, zodat zowel klant als interne teams precies weten waar ze aan toe zijn

• Het zorgvuldig omgaan met inspectieapparatuur, monsternamematerialen en monsters, en het zorgen voor een nauwkeurige registratie van alle data

• Het verzorgen van een soepele wachtoverdracht naar collega’s van de volgende shift

• Het trainen en begeleiden van (nieuwe) collega’s, zodat het hele team naar een hoger niveau wordt getild

• Het uitvoeren van Field Audits om de processen continue te verbeteren en optimaliseren

• Het actief bijdragen aan het verbeteren van onze werkprocessen en procedures om de kwaliteit en efficiëntie te verhogen

• Waar nodig, het tijdelijk vervangen van de Shift Supervisor en het ondersteunen van het team

• Het melden en registreren van onveilige situaties en onvolkomenheden om zo de veiligheid van het team te waarborgen

• Het bijwonen van toolboxmeetings en bijdragen aan een veilige werkomgeving

• Het juist gebruiken van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PBM’s) en ervoor zorgen dat alle middelen op tijd gekalibreerd worden

• Het naleven van BV Group policies en de Code of Ethics in alles wat je doet

• Het zorgen voor naleving van alle interne veiligheids-, kwaliteits- en milieuvoorschriften conform de managementsystemen en de normen ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001

Wie ben jij?

Jij bent een ervaren inspecteur met een passie voor kwaliteit, veiligheid en procesoptimalisatie. Je hebt een scherp oog voor detail en weet altijd het juiste resultaat te leveren. Je bent een echte teamspeler, maar kunt ook zelfstandig uitstekend functioneren. Als Senior Field Inspector sta je stevig in je schoenen, ben je communicatief sterk en weet je de klant én je collega’s te adviseren en te begeleiden.

Jij hebt:

• MBO werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur diploma’s gericht op (controle) werk in de haven.

• 3 tot 5 jaar relevante werkervaring.

• VCA VOL en relevante certificaten voor inspectiewerk op zak.

• Vlotte beheersing van de lokale en Engelse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

• Kennis van de Duitse taal in woord (en bij voorkeur in schrift) is een plus

• Gedegen kennis van industrie/normstandaarden gekoppeld aan inspectiewerk.

As a (Junior) Field Inspector at Bureau Veritas Fuels, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers. You work with passion and accuracy, both independently and in collaboration with enthusiastic colleagues, ensuring that everything is carried out according to the correct procedures and standards. Always with an eye for safety and quality. You are the key to the success of our inspection process!

What will you do?

In this versatile and dynamic role, as a (Junior) Field Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed field inspections at various locations. From small projects to complex industrial sites. You make a direct contribution to the quality and reliability of the products and processes we inspect. You will work together with a diverse team, always maintaining the highest standards.

As a (Junior) Field Inspector, you have the freedom to work independently and use your expertise for both customers and colleagues. This also means that you radiate flexibility to the customers. You do all the work in the right way in line with your knowledge and experience. Furthermore, as a person you are communicative in different layers. You are the contact person for the customer, but also internally for the lab and customer service, for example.

You also have the following skills:

• Performing (complex) quality and quantity inspections according to the TBV matrix and the applicable work instructions, guidelines and standard standards

• Reporting your findings in a clear and structured way, so that both customer and internal teams know exactly where they stand

• Careful handling of inspection equipment, sampling materials and samples, and ensuring accurate recording of all data

• Ensuring a smooth shift transfer to colleagues from the next shift

• Training and supervising (new) colleagues, so that the whole team is lifted to a higher level

• Performing Field Audits to continuously improve and optimize processes

• Actively contributing to improving our work processes and procedures to increase quality and efficiency

• Where necessary, temporarily replacing the Shift Supervisor and supporting the team

• Reporting and registering unsafe situations and imperfections in order to ensure the safety of the team

• Attending toolbox meetings and contributing to a safe working environment

• The correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that all equipment is calibrated on time

• Compliance with BV Group policies and the Code of Ethics in everything you do

• Ensuring compliance with all internal safety, quality and environmental regulations in accordance with the management systems and the ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 standards

Who are you?

You are an experienced inspector with a passion for quality, safety and process optimization. You have a keen eye for detail and always know how to deliver the right result. You are a real team player, but can also function excellently independently. As a Senior Field Inspector, you are confident, you have strong communication skills and you know how to advise and guide the customer and your colleagues.

You have:

• MBO working and thinking level, preferably diplomas aimed at (control) work in the port.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

• VCA VOL and relevant certificates for inspection work in your pocket.

• Fluent command of the local and English language, both orally and in writing.

• Knowledge of the German language verbally (and preferably in writing) is a plus

• Thorough knowledge of industry/standard standards coupled with inspection work.
